Be Involved
Support Your Community Today!
There are numerous ways an individual, business, or service group can get involved in the Barry County Community! From volunteering at local events like the Barry County BrewFest and the Hastings Macker tournament, to sitting on a Chamber committee or sponsoring an event, opportunities abound!
AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE
The Barry County Chamber Ambassadors are the good-will arm of the Chamber; the Ambassadors are highly visible representatives of the Chamber, they greet new members, reach out to existing members, promote Chamber programs, attend ribbon-cuttings, and bridge the gap between the general membership and the Board of Directors.
If you would like to become an ambassador, please reach out to Kim Martin.
ANNUAL DINNER AND AWARDS COMMITTEE
The Annual Dinner and Awards Celebration Committee helps plan this event which is held in January of each year. The event is the Chamber’s way of recognizing our members for their contributions to the community and to the economic prosperity of Barry County. Annual awards include the Brick Award, the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Community Impact Award, and the Member Choice Award for Customer Service Excellence.
If you would like to serve on this committee, or for more information on this event, please contact Kim Martin.
GOLF OUTING COMMITTEE
The Annual Chamber Open is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser each year, enabling us to continue to provide valuable county-wide services to our members and to the community. The Open serves as a great way to engage with your Chamber peers and build relationships with local business leaders.

GUS MACKER COMMITTEE
The Gus Macker Committee plans and hosts the annual Hastings Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The Committee works closely with the Macker organization and the City of Hastings to ensure a fun, safe, and welcoming tournament for residents and participants.
